Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant feedback for buildings managed by Steven Kashanian reveals significant management challenges. While locations often offer good neighborhood access and friendly neighbors, residents consistently report poor cleanliness and garbage management, maintenance neglect including heating issues and pest control problems, and unresponsiveness from management. Noise levels vary but are frequently elevated due to nearby businesses or street activity. Tenants express frustration over neglected repairs, lack of timely communication, and inadequate building upkeep, especially in rent-stabilized buildings. Despite some appreciating the community feel and location convenience, the overall sentiment points to the need for more attentive, proactive management to ensure basic living standards and tenant satisfaction are met.

Reviews

663 Flatbush Avenue

Pros

This building is conveniently located to a laundromat, the Q and B lines, 2 grocery stores and Prospect Park.

Cons

This building is situated above several restaurants/bars and as a result the noise levels tend to be high at night and on the weekends. The management is not attentive to the trash and often neglects to take it out causing the hallway to smell.

Advice to the owners

Be more attentive to the building’s and tenant’s needs
