Persistent Leaks, Unresolved Issues

Pros

The people who live in the building are very friendly and kind.

Cons

Leak from the roof through the 4th floor, 3rd floor, and now 2nd floor ceilings. Pest issues, unable to access electricity meters, very old unvented heaters. Hallways and stairways are dirty and unmaintained, poor ventilation throughout. You can see more detailed issues through the records of lawsuits involving past tenants through the Kings County clerk. Building (or some units) were rent stabilized for 2 years according to HPD records and inexplicably destabilized.

Advice to the owners

Fix the many issues and hire a super that lives nearby.
