AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Pros

I've lived here since I was a teenager, in my mid 30s now. When I first moved in -different superintendent, the building was spotless well maintained and we had heat and running water. Not the last decade or so. Pros are: you are close to Prospect Park, Prospect expressway, and trains are about a 7 minute walk. There's a 24 hr supermarket, and many types of food and services on church Ave.

Cons

The owner does not care about the building. The super who lives for free owns a pizza restaurant in another borough and is seldom present at the building. He pays a lovely Mexican man pennies to do the garbage and the work he is supposed to be doing. Neither him or any neighbors I spoke to have anything good to say about the super. He simply does not care. The building is crawling with roaches, leaks, the laundry room and entire basement floods and smells like something died in it. The laundry machines are constantly out of order and even steal your money at times. The building is cumbling to pieces every single day. And the so called "management company" can never be reached and never answers or returns calls. It's disgusting. My apartment has been flooding for 15 years and to this day still the same problem- they put band aids on, instead of doing the necessary work required. Another thing, and this is a NYC renown money grab - anytime someone moves out that apartment suddenly becomes a one or two bedroom. The elevator constantly gets stuck, I feel horrible for the elderly people living on the higher floors.

Advice to the owners

Stop treating your tenants like garbage and more like living people who pay you to live in this filth. A little more initiative would be great. Also please answer the phones! Stop avoiding us because you don't want to deal with complaints.

No complaints...yet, it works for now!

Pros

No complaints as of yet. I like living here, the neighborhood is calm and close to Prospect Park.

Cons

Management isn't very responsive. they'll eventually get to you request but they are not in a hurry.
