Best Apartment I've Rented, But It Has Its Issues

Pros

It's a small building that is relatively well maintained. The apartment is huge and the neighborhood is wonderful. The tenants are respectful, kind and quiet, for the most part. The super takes good care of the trash and recycling and is relatively responsive to issues, but can sometimes be forgetful or unhelpful.

Cons

The landlord, Ron Haraka, is no different than your standard New York landlord. When damages occur in the apartment, he claims he is willing to fix them and then doesn't do anything in hopes that you fix it yourself or give up. Honestly, the only con and headache about this apartment is the landlord and dealing with him/the management company. Rent payment is out of date via a paper check that can and has gotten lost in the mail. Overall, Ron is not all that helpful of a landlord, but are any in NYC?

Advice to the owners

Stick to your word. You have units with good, hard-working tenants in them and we take good care of your units. When there are issues and we raise them to you, please stick to your word and do as you say you will. We pay full rent in a timely manner and we would really appreciate a landlord who gives the same energy. If you don't care about your apartments, then why should we?
