Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant feedback on buildings managed by Prashanth Rayapudi reveals a mix of decent amenities but persistent management challenges. Residents note reasonable maintenance response at times, but communication with leasing and management is often poor. Issues such as poorly constructed apartments, recurring repairs, and unreliable heating and pest control are common. Garbage management and cleanliness are inconsistent across properties. Rent increases and lost amenities add to tenant dissatisfaction. While neighbors are generally reported as friendly, noise and disruptive incidents have affected some buildings. Overall, the management appears reactive rather than proactive, with several renters advising the need for better upkeep, transparency, and tenant care.

Not the worst but not great

Pros

Things generally got fixed when you needed them to

Cons

Renewal was a battle every year, they tried to raise the price pretty significantly one year because we moved in during covid and got a good deal The building definitely went downhill after Freestone took over Didn't keep up with common areas very well During my four years in the building we lost access to the laundry room and they tried to raise our rent even after losing that amenity Other tenants in the building had worse experiences

Good bang for your buck; however, the building is made of twigs and tape

Pros

In unit, dishwasher, open layout, balcony, high ceilings, one of the better prices for an apartment with all of these amenities in bushwick. Overall, even though I have a lot of cons, I did renew and I like it.

Cons

Lease structure is weird, horrible communication with leasing team to renew, bad communication with maintenance issues, sink in the kitchen broke in first month. Second month our bathroom sink fell off the wall, rain water on the roof doesn’t drain well, common areas are not taking care of as much as they should be.

Advice to the owners

Property management is a random company who does not care about the tenant but does care the minimum that is legally required in NYC. Which hey, that’s better than other buildings.
