Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant feedback for properties managed by Moses Berger reveals mixed experiences. Buildings generally offer convenient locations with decent amenities including gyms, rooftops, and laundry facilities. Many appreciate the responsiveness of the superintendents, though owner and management responsiveness varies, occasionally seen as slow or indifferent. Common issues raised include persistent package theft despite installed measures, noise disturbances especially from neighbors or street traffic, and inconsistencies in cleanliness and garbage handling, often leading to unpleasant odors. Structural concerns and maintenance delays have affected some residents. While some renters recommend the buildings for their affordability and features, others caution about management’s inconsistent communication and enforcement of rules.

Haven't had any issues

Pros

The neighborhood is nice, and the area around the building is peaceful and quiet. Convenient location for subway access. The building itself is nice, feels secure, and is kept in good shape. Package theft used to be an issue, but I haven't had a problem over the past year. The actual living spaces are consistently nice, and there haven't been any major maintenance headaches or problems inside the apartment. Having a solid lineup of amenities right in the building adds a lot of convenience to the daily routine.

Cons

The trash situation ruins the elevator: This is easily the worst part. When trash gets collected, it gets dragged across the floors and thrown straight into the elevator. It completely stinks the elevator up and leaves gross liquid leaking on the floor. The elevator is painfully slow at times. The building technically maintains the shared spaces, but they just never feel truly clean on a day-to-day basis. The building has good spaces, but the furniture is old and needs to go. The terrace is actually really nice, but almost all the furniture out there is beat up and needs to be replaced. The hallways are incredibly loud. There’s no sound insulation at all, so if someone walks by talking or slams a door, you hear it perfectly clear right from your room. Management is a bit odd at times, but they are easy to communicate with.

Solid apartment convenient location

Pros

-Never seen a pest in my apartment -fast maintenance -Decent sized units -Nice amenities, with a rooftop, balcony, dishwasher in unit -directly off subway, and right near a park

Cons

-neighbors would use gym and create noise in the middle of the night, management did not really care to enforce quiet hours. - some pet owners in the building would leave communal laundry machines filled with pet hair, -only one elevator for whole building, but there are lots of units so sometimes it would take several minutes to get an elevator
