Management is unresponsive/inaccessible

Pros

It’s in a nice neighborhood and it’s very quiet inside (my unit was facing the courtyard though). The heat/AC worked well too.

Cons

I paid extra for a building with laundry. But the laundry is in the basement, you can only pay by your phone using Bluetooth and internet. But if you are close enough to the machine for Bluetooth to work, you’re out of internet range and vice versa. When there is too much trash built up they just throw it in the stairwell that leads to the laundry, so you can’t access it. Then when they move it weeks later there are rats and flies and roaches that you have to fight through to get to the laundry. After all that they raised our rent $500 a month after 1 year.

Advice to the owners

Don’t charge a premium/ include laundry-in-building if it’s inaccessible or unusable
