Horrible Landlord - Do Not Rent Here
Pros
There are no pros to living here. Do not rent from this lady. She is completely a stalker who will break into your unit while you're gone and who will extort money from you. Her and her brother are nothing but con people.
Cons
Steals deposits, kicks you out without notice. If you attempt to take her to court she will make your life a living hell. She controls the internet so if you cross her (because of a problem she caused and you address) she will cut the internet for you as "punishment." Her menacing and retaliatory nature is well documented on the Nextdoor website, giving advice to people about how to harass tenants, withhold funds, etc. She lets her cats poop everywhere, including in your bathtub that she hardly cleans up so it'll be up to you. She's been sued by several tenants at her Massachusetts property. STALKS TENANTS ONLINE AFTER SHE ILLEGALLY EVICTS THEM. DO NOT RENT HERE. She also registers her car in Massachusetts at her home there which means that's her primary residence so therefore she will be subjected to the new second home tax. Hold her accountable!
Crazy Cat Lady in a Filthy, Abusive Household

Cons
Lived in one of the areas that was technically "shared" with the owner, Kate Kelly. So, had my own bedroom and bathroom (sort of), but "shared" the kitchen, backyard and livingroom with the owner and another tenant. I say "shared" because the landlady Kate, her friends/family and other tenant might feel free to make all sorts of noise and party and smoke cigarettes in the house, but god forbid you have even one person come over and quietly eat breakfast with you in the eat-in kitchen. She'll let total strangers stay there without running it by you (even though she's basically a roommate). She's also kind of lowkey racist and padlocks the front gate over the entire long Labor Day Weekend/Caribbean parade, while she flees town -- even if it's really inconvenient and annoying for you to get in and out. Hell, she's even controlling about opening the blinds to let light into the parlor/living room during the daytime (so it's a little less dreary), because she thinks people are going to try to case her joint (even though she has absolutely nothing of value). Also, so happy to see the other reviews mention the cats: OMG THE CATS! this woman is a crazy cat lady who also has NO IDEA how to properly take care of cats. First of all, she takes in random strays and doesn't give them any shots. Then she lets her cats roam the neighborhood and then back in the house (extremely dangerous to local wildlife, but also very unsanitary). Even though she has her own huge room and her own bathroom, she'll puts her cats' litter boxes in what is supposed to be YOUR exclusive bathroom. She'd had one litter box for FOUR cats. I had to argue with her for her to only put in a second litter box. And even then: if you know anything about cat ownership, each cat needs its own litterbox, and then you need an extra one on top of that. On top of that, she doesn't clean them out regularly. So the litterboxes are overflowing with catshit, so of course the cats get upset about the mess and then start pissing and shitting in YOUR shower/bathtub. It's absolutely vile and disgusting, and I think I got some skin infection from it. If you raise any of it with her, her attitude is just, "they're just cats. what do you want me to do?" I don't know, Kate... maybe clean up their piss and shit every day? Put the litter boxes in YOUR room? She'll also eat your food and then lie about it and say she didn't realize it was yours, or that a jar "broke" or something like that. She's very passive-aggressively abusive. And per what other people have said: she will absolutely try to screw you over by kicking you out with very little notice -- and you should absolutely want to leave because living with her sucks -- but don't let her bully or intimidate you. Take the time you need to find a new place.
