Cheap Construction and Constant Water Issues
Pros
Very little. There are some nice business nearby, and being close to the park is nice, but that actual building is a bit of a nightmare.
Cons
This building has constant leaks, pipe breaks, and other water issues due to management cutting corners on renovations and negligence on both the side of the super and certain neighbors. Our apartment and the building in general is filled with hastily patched up holes in the ceiling from past leaks. While many of the neighbors are friendly, there are a couple very problematic residents that for whatever reason do not report the frequent maintenance issues and make it much worse.
Advice to the owners
SPEND THE TIME AND MONEY TO ACTUALLY FIX THE ROOT ISSUES OF THE BUILDING. You are spending much more money constantly repairing issue that could be fixed with proper plumbing. Your super is in change of too many buildings and unable to address emergencies in a timely manner. If you keep neglecting basic building functions like water and heat, you will almost certainly find yourself being sued.
