Thin wall between neighbors

Pros

Apartment has been kept up to date with good appliances, paint, and floors.

Cons

the walls between neighbors are as thin as paper. Downstair basement flooded in a rainstorm coming up through the toilet. The dishwasher broke and leaked ruining the downstairs ceiling - landlord didn't take care of the problem for 3 weeks.

ceiling leaks so bad we moved out early

Pros

literally none? i guess it’s close to the Dekalb L but that’s not a pro about the living conditions there.

Cons

we had SO many leaks in 2L from the floor above us. we broke our lease and left early. weeks after we moved out there was another terrible leak and since we had no stuff in the apartment anymore, the leak went all the way to floor 1 and ruined their stuff too

Advice to the owners

actually fix the pipes don’t just patch the ceiling
