Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent tenant reviews of buildings owned by 1289 HOLDINGS LLC suggest varying experiences. While some tenants praise the quick maintenance responses and amenities like in-unit washer/dryer, others express concerns aboutnoise levels, pest control issues, and unresponsive management. Buildings are generally well-maintained, but noise disturbances from thin walls impact some residents' quality of life. Suggestions include improving water pressure and reinforcing walls for noise reduction. Mixed opinions on owner approval and building recommendation indicate room for improvement in addressing tenants' concerns for a more comfortable living environment.

Not perfect, but comfortable
Former Tenant
Pros:
Best thing is the maintenance. So easy to submit a request and get it fixed within 48 hours or less. Anything from oven issues, caulking, leaks - they are able to handle. Great natural lighting on the third floor, neighbors are quiet. Apartment has in unit washer and dryer, a small dishwasher, and allows for pets :)
Cons:
A bit noisy since it’s off a Main Street. Apartment is definitely meant for tall people, cabinets are so high up it’s difficult to reach for shorter people. Water runs warm but not hot.
Advice to owner:
Just fix the water situation!

I can literally hear my neighbors alarm clock go off...
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building itself is pretty well maintained, although the trash and loose mail does get messy at times.
Cons:
ITS SO LOUD. It’s clear the owners split the apartments and put a thin dry wall in between. It’s normal to hear people walk up and down the stairs but when the noise makes you think someone is walking in your apartment, that’s not okay. I can hear my neighbors alarm clock, noisy child, conversations, when they walk, turn on the water in their bathroom and even when they drop something! Super disruptive and my poor cat is always on edge. If you want peace and quiet (who doesn’t?!), then don’t rent here.
Advice to owner:
Please please please reinforce the walls in between apartments. It’s ridiculous.
