it does the job
Former Tenant
Pros:
the trash is taken care of, neighbors keep to themselves, and it’s in a great area. other than that it’s your standard shitty nyc apartment building
Cons:
the entire building is not level, there are mice and bugs in the walls and drains, the hallway is nasty, and the garbage man is rude and discriminatory

Great location, slow to fix problems.
Former Tenant
Pros:
Amazing location right in the heart of East Village. At the time of living there all of the residents were friendly and respectful noise wise. Apartment was newly renovated when we moved in.
Cons:
Our bathroom ceiling collapsed in above the toilet due to a water bulge from leaking pipes above. We reported a water bulge 2 months before the roof broke, management ignored it until the roof caved in. They then only fixed it two days later because someone was coming to view the apartment as we were moving out. We had a HUGE hole in our bathroom ceiling for two days and they didn’t care until new renters were coming. We also didn’t have access to our shower for a week when our tray leaked into the apartment below and they took a week to fix it. Not ok for the insane rent they charge for a studio apartment.
Advice to owner:
Care about the renters in your building and fix problems quickly, not just about what new possible renters could see.
