Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant reviews indicate that the buildings managed by Frank Tehrani often suffer from management issues and maintenance delays. While residents appreciate the spaciousness and some amenities, such as laundry facilities, complaints about unresponsive management and poor upkeep are prevalent. Many tenants express frustration over the heat issues, noise levels, and cleanliness, with significant concerns regarding pest control and garbage management. Despite the nice neighborhood and friendly neighbors, the overall sentiment suggests that potential renters should proceed with caution due to the inconsistent management and maintenance quality across the buildings.

Reviews

Former tenant·2 months ago

Well designed but poorly maintained

Pros

-Trash chute/recycling/laundry on each floor -Elevator -Good number of outlets in unit and well sized closets

Cons

-Management is slow to fix issues and says they are not responsible for some of the appliances in the apartment -Apartments are not well insulated so noise between units is typical and rooms can get very hot in the summer -Paint used in units is flat and shows scuffs/marks easily and is impossible to clean

Advice to the owners

Fire Susan (current manager) and pay for real cleaners/super to take out trash regularly and maintain common spaces

Rude and unresponsive management!

Pros

The neighbors are lovely, both inside and outside the building itself. The building is rent-stabilized and has an elevator, which is great. I've never had any issues with pests, but I think people who live on lower floors have at times.

Cons

The laundry (esp. washing) machines are almost always broken, and management is rude and dismissive about it. Getting this and other problems fixed is always a huge hassle, as they always take forever to reply, even if you follow up multiple times.
