Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent reviews of buildings managed by Martin Levine show a mixed experience among tenants. While many appreciate the great locations and generally clean environments, issues like pest infestations, particularly cockroaches, and slow management responsiveness are highlighted as significant concerns. Some residents have reported maintenance delays and insufficient pest control efforts despite a somewhat responsive management team. Noise levels vary, with some units being particularly loud. Overall, while there are commendable aspects like good neighbors and reasonable heating, prospective renters should be aware of potential pest issues and variable management effectiveness.

Good location and little else

Pros

Great and convenient location. Apartments on the surface level are not terrible

Cons

-Stove did not work for 4 months - cockroach infestation in multiple apartments in the building. We saw at least 1-2 week for many months - unhelpful management that is slow to respond. The building manager does not even live in the city

Good Walk Up in Chelsea

Pros

Good size for price. Generally clean building and every unit has a washer and dryer.

Cons

Can get a bit loud being on 8th avenue.
