Repeated building and storage break-ins
Former Tenant
Pros:
Big balconies and windows
Cons:
*We broke our lease due to safety concerns. The building was obviously built with cheap materials. Our apartment in particular had a water leak that warped our entire hallway and part of our bedroom. The ceiling has a substantial crack in the dining room area. Landlord has been notified several times without any solution. This building gets broken into AT LEAST once a month. Landlord isn’t willing to work with us for some obscure reason - even after packages have been consistently stolen. Way overpriced.
Advice to owner:
This guy acknowledged that this is his first building. With that said, I think the main lesson to learn here is you should always strive to provide appropriate solutions to the problems your tenants communicate. Landlord should also be more transparent with footage captured by cameras. Start working with your tenants as well as police to mitigate crimes committed in the property.
