Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent reviews for buildings managed by Haskel Jacobs reveal persistent pest problems, notably severe rat and roach infestations, alongside unclean hallways and poor garbage management. Tenants acknowledge some positives like good locations and a few helpful staff members, yet frequently criticize slow, ineffective maintenance and a lack of professionalism. Heating is reported as inconsistent, and residents face issues with overheated units or unreliable hot water. The management tends to be unempathetic and slow to address concerns, leading to widespread tenant dissatisfaction. Overall, renters advise significant improvements in cleanliness, pest control, and maintenance responsiveness for a better living environment.

Rats in the walls, ceilings, and under the floors

Pros

Relatively quiet and affordable. Some of the tenants are some of the kindest people while others are deeply inconsiderate.

Cons

There’s a severe rat infestation throughout the infrastructure of the building. The building has had rat problems since 2020 and it hasn’t been resolved.

Pest Infested - not worth what their currently charging

Pros

- Great location

Cons

- Rats/house flies/fruit flies/roaches I've seen it all here and it's not just occasionally, this place is infested in the walls and it spreads to the inside of the apartments - On day the garbage compactor is used the entire apartment reeks - Thin walls (sound carries) - Hot water occasionally doesn't work - Owner is responsive but can't form a complete sentence and doesn't show any empathy or care about any concerns

Advice to the owners

Clean this place please. The people deserve better and the infestations will only get worse. Have PROFESSIONALS (not just your buddies) go in and get rid of the pests, mold, and whatever else lurks behind these greasy walls. Just more professionalism all around would be great.
