Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenants renting buildings managed by Peter Chernoff commend the generally well-maintained apartments featuring updated appliances, good heating, and effective pest control. The locations offer convenient commutes and quiet, tucked-away spaces, although some older buildings have thin walls and occasionally encounter street-level rodent presence. Garbage management and cleanliness are usually well handled. Owners are generally responsive and solid, with renters appreciating timely communication. Suggested improvements include venting laundry dryers to the outside and enhanced outdoor weed and property upkeep. While neighbors are often friendly, some tenants advise caution regarding certain neighbor interactions. Overall, tenants recommend these properties for their comfort and management reliability.

Reviews

Former tenant·7 months ago

Nice place to live, some things to watch out for

Pros

Great appliances, good commute to the ML and J trains, back patio access, well maintained, heat is controllable, washer/dryer in unit, no pests inside apartment, rear building is tucked away and quiet

Cons

Good amount of rats on this street (not too much of a problem since they don’t get inside), washer and dryer do not vent outside so it does cause concerns

Advice to the owners

Owner is solid, just vent the dryer to the outside
