Review Summary for Nathan Fishman
Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent tenant reviews of buildings managed by Nathan Fishman indicate a mixed experience. Buildings are generally well-kept, with prompt garbage management and friendly neighbors. However, pest issues and old infrastructure pose challenges in some properties. Residents appreciate responsive supers but emphasize the need for improved owner communication and maintenance. Despite discrepancies in cleanliness and noise levels, a significant number of renters approve of the owner and recommend living in the buildings, especially highlighting the convenient locations and rent-stabilized options. Efforts towards pest control, infrastructure maintenance, and communication would enhance the overall tenant satisfaction.

Not Too Bad
Former Tenant
Pros:
The live-in super is friendly and responsive, and the neighbors are respectful. Quiet.
Cons:
Old building. Peaceful during the winter, but roaches come out during warmer weather. Pest control isn't effective.

It’s a decent building
Former Tenant
Pros:
It’s overall clean and tenants are nice and kind. Many families.
Cons:
Pests are a big problem and hallways can smell.
Advice to owner:
Get rid of pests such as mice and roaches and we won’t have a problem. Also answer emails in a timely manner.

Amazing building
Former Tenant
Pros:
The landlord clearly and accurately shared the rent stabilized status of the unit and the rental amount. Extremely professional lease signing and very responsive. The super is the best one I've had - he is responsive, kind, and proactive. The neighbors are dreams too, and it's right by the park. Love this building.
Cons:
Maaaaaaybe the heat can be a little off because it's an old building.
Advice to owner:
You're doing great. Updated heat would be appreciated.

Super is only redeeming quality
Former Tenant
Pros:
The super. He's helpful with fixing things in the apartment (which happens frequently) and helps with bringing in packages.
Cons:
Literally everything. Noise levels are insane (stomping around at 4am, street noise). Drug users in building, hallway reeks of pot. Packages stolen, kitchen falling apart, 100 year old bathroom, hundreds of layers of paint which peel off regularly, broken windows, ancient appliances, internet cable that ran next to the heating pipe so it literally melted several times. Smoke alarms don't work.
Advice to owner:
Give super a raise
