Review Summary for Corigin Management
Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent tenant feedback for buildings managed by CORIGIN MANAGEMENT reveals a range of experiences. Some properties, like 232 East 88 Street, are praised for cleanliness, responsiveness, and quietness, though occasional garbage and pest issues occur. The 1 East 2 Street building has strong location advantages and security but struggles with small unit sizes, some cleanliness concerns, poor ventilation, occasional mold, and inconsistent noise levels. Management responsiveness varies from timely to slow depending on the property. Overall, tenants find the staff approachable but suggest improvements in pest control, mold remediation, trash management, and infrastructure upgrades to enhance living conditions.

BLACK MOLD BEWARE
Former Tenant
Pros:
Convenience to east village, grocery stores, subways, NYU, is all great. The people working there are also great and easy to get along with.
Cons:
HOWEVER, and this is a big one, the building has a terrible black mold problem. All over the entire building, in the bathrooms, matresses, acs, everywhere. The management refuses to do anything about it and it is awful. Be prepared for a long fight. You also can't cook anything since there is no exhaust.
Advice to owner:
Please fix the mold.

Does the trick - and then some
Former Tenant
Pros:
Our unit had an outdoor patio. The building itself is a nice size - I enjoyed only having 4 units in the building and each was its own level.
Cons:
The usual for these investment properties — cheap, cheap appliances, thin walls, inefficient and expensive HVAC.

Cheapest NYU Upperclassmen Dorm Room!
Former Tenant
Pros:
- Really nice location, super short walk if you get a job in SoHo
- Laundry room always had available washer and dryers, never had to wait and never had issues with residents taking out my laundry
- Practice rooms useful for musicians or dancers
- My room had a great view of Alberts Garden right across the street
- Chill RAs, never saw anyone get in any trouble
Cons:
- Hallways often dirty
- Sometimes one elevator would break down so the other took longer
- Room is TINY
- Not enough fridge/freezer space at all
- bathroom wasn’t well ventilated and we got mold towards the end of the year
