Okay if you don’t mind pests.
Former Tenant
Pros:
Near the subway, spacious apartment with new finishes.
Cons:
Nonstop pests, weekly roaches crawling the apartment. Mice come up through the vents. Building is old and has a scent to it.
Advice to owner:
Old building that’s prone to problems, should be renovated.

Nice Place to Live
Former Tenant

Clean, safe building on quiet street across from a church, located just a short walk from 135th St 2/3 trains, as well as great bodegas, stores and restaurants. Building well maintained with friendly neighbors and responsive live in super.
Cons:
People often loitering in entryway of building despite signs by management, and tend to leave trash in entry way.

Great Condo Building - Beware which owner you rent from
Former Tenant
Pros:
It’s a very well maintained building
The super is great and cleans every day to make it sparkling clean
The units are gorgeous and large with good appliances
Cons:
the unit owner we rented from wasn’t great. he didn’t give us our full security deposit back and never did a walk through and had photos of “damages”
the unit owner tried to raise the rent on us during pandemic
The building is on 21st street which is super loud and you hear all the sirens and traffic even at night while you sleep.
The building is far from the train
Advice to owner:
Property owners of the building were nothing for nice. They helped us more than the unit owner
