Bad management company, shoddy construction - will not recommend

Common areas are cleaned regularly and trash management by a sweet couple. Large windows, loads of sunlight. The good parts end here.
Cons
Building was wrought with issues - electrical outlets did not work for the first week when I moved in, no mail boxes (had to go down physically to USPS to get mail), building has optimum wifi which is the worst wifi and the building was wired such that only 2 out of the 5 units can receive consistently strong wifi. Also, there frequently was drug addicts using the area below the stoop as shelter (drug needles, condom wrappers, food containers, human waste). In my last two months, there was inconsistent electricity. The electricity would flicker and cut out altogether. Essential utilities like heat and wifi were dependent on electricity. I'd also be woken up every night by the loud clattering of the heating and electrical outlets trying to come back on. The management company took more than a month to fix this, despite it being a critical issue. However, the WORST thing of this building has to be the management company. They did not care about the issues that tenants were facing - I'd have to call them up multiple times, not getting any updates, and when they actually got around to fixing the issue, they'd send people in with no notice, at a time when I was not at home, or was in meetings. It was such a stressful experience having someone bang down the door while in an important presentation. Most egregious of all, it has now been 6 week since I moved out, and I have not received my security deposit back (final walkthrough was done with no issues, I should have received my full security deposit), and I cannot get ahold of anyone at the management company to get me a straight response. Also, if all of that was not bad enough, the streeteasy page for this building is peppered with lies (especially as it comes to historical rents).
Advice to the owners
Treat your tenants well, take care of the issues that need to be tended to.
