Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenants consistently praise STEVE BRECKER's buildings for their cleanliness, well-maintained amenities, and friendly doorman service. The management team is often described as responsive and helpful, particularly with maintenance issues, although a few reviews point to occasional delays or unresponsiveness. Heating systems have varied feedback, with some tenants citing high costs and insulation problems in certain buildings. Noise from nearby trains and streets is a common external factor but generally well tolerated due to soundproofing indoors. While smaller buildings offer a quieter, boutique living experience, some advise improvements in building supervision and appliance upgrades. Overall, residents find the management professional and attentive, making these properties desirable despite minor challenges.

Decent boutique place

Pros

Great value for what you pay Management/owner is better than larger high rises

Cons

Amenities are lacking compared to larger LIC high rises

Clean and quiet

Pros

Nice doormen, responsive repairs, and great package management. The building is also smaller than others in LIC, so it’s quiet and we don’t run into anyone else coming in and out of the building half the time. Also really enjoy the festive holiday decorations. The units themselves have nice fixtures and it’s really comfortable to live here.

Cons

Location is just okay. Next to the train so it’s loud with the windows open. Also have to cross a busy road to get to most restaurants and stores in LIC. Heat is also expensive, but still feels chilly. Not unbearable, but not ideal. Might be the windows and poor insulation.
