Clean, fresh build, fios, lovely tree lined street, not too far from J/Z trains
Cons
Management is not very responsive. People in this building are rude and not neighborly. There is very little sound barrier in the design so neighbors are always complaining to management, but no one knocks on doors so no one knows who’s making the noise. We hear our neighbors all the time but have never complained. Several people have dogs and they just let them poop in back yard and balconies and don’t clean it up, and also leave them at home all day to whine and cry. It’s gross and sad. Metal studs makes hanging things tougher, but we manage. All electric and washer/dryer is a combo, so electricity bill is massive and dryer never works unless you run it 3 cycles. Zero communication from management about lease renewals, pricing changes, etc and hard to get ahold of management in times of need. Zero character in the design and no artistry, classic new build. Poor trash management, it builds up outside constantly. Opportunity for landscaping but zero effort put in.
Advice to the owners
Design is important and community is important for tenants to feel at home. If you get noise complaints, you should address that in either providing a stipend for tenants to purchase carpets/rugs or adding better sound proofing in design. If you want people to stay you should inform management to care about them and treat them with respect.
