Former tenant·Over 3 years ago

Not bad not great. Bronstein Properties is moneyhungry and run a slum

Pros

Neighborhood is nice, apartment is cute and decently spacious.

Cons

Cockroaches, poor renovations, landlords already on the legal course for eviction mid-pandemic

Advice to the owners

Invest more on thorough, true renovations before reletting apartments to new tenants. Cheap ikea cabinets and linoleum tiles don’t last long. Truly eradicate mold/pest issues and be transparent with brokers about history.

Could be better...a lot better...it needs to be better.

Pros

Apartment is a nice size, doesn’t feel cramped. The neighborhood itself is very sweet and kind — a friendly atmosphere that always feels safe.

Cons

Poor renovations — holes everywhere from cheaply done installations. Pests (there’s been a years long cockroach problem). The communal area near the building’s entrance/mailboxes, is either accompanied with a foul order and/or a queen-sized dead cockroach (that will never be cleaned; currently there are two.). Black mold in shower that’s clearly been grouted/painted over. Random water shutoffs WITHOUT any warnings. With COVID happening, no flexible rent relief has been offered nor have any new sanitation measures been implemented/mandated.

Advice to the owners

Spend the necessary money needed on renovations rather than being cheap/cutting corners — our rent isn’t cheap so our living conditions and appliances shouldn’t be.
