I lived in Bed-Stuy and overall had a positive experience
Pros
The building is a renovated brownstone-style property with decent upkeep. Common areas were generally clean, and the units were in good condition compared to many older Brooklyn buildings. My apartment had updated appliances, working heating, and no major structural issues. The neighborhood is convenient, close to local cafes, grocery stores, and public transportation. The area feels residential but still active, especially during the day. Commute to other parts of Brooklyn and into Manhattan was manageable.

The convenience of coliving is unmatched. From utilities being included to regular cleanings, it allowed me to focus on my career without worrying about household chores.

Noise can be an issue since you’re sharing space with multiple people.
