Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant feedback for buildings managed by Ed Adler reveals a mix of experiences. Some appreciate the prime locations, charming apartments, and clean, renovated units with useful amenities like in-unit laundry. However, issues with noise, particularly from neighbors and lack of soundproofing, are common. There are notable concerns about pest infestations, especially mice, and prolonged disruptive construction without adequate dust control. Management responsiveness varies widely, with some praising prompt responses while others report poor communication and unresolved repairs, including serious safety issues like a gas leak. Tenants urge improvements in professionalism, maintenance follow-through, and clearer communication to foster a better rental experience.

Great Location, charming building

Pros

Cons

noisy neighbors, walls are NOT sound proof, neighbors smoking cigarettes comes right through to our apartment.

Advice to the owners

Lots of mice, poorly managed construction

Pros

- rent stabilized - quiet - very safe with police station out front - great location

Cons

- mice were a big problem - building went through so much construction I had to leave for my health after bursting a blood vessel coughing(this was pre-covid - insane amount of construction dust that wasn't alleviated by having professional cleaners, leaving lights on outside bedroom window) -

Advice to the owners

Hopefully these problems have been resolved under new management
