Mice problem but nice place
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice appartment close to subway in unit laundry
Cons:
Mice, theft, not a great neighborhood

Not horrible but not amazing
Former Tenant
Pros:
I loved that the building is pre war and has an elevator! It was always useful if I couldn’t take the stairs or had a lot to carry. The super was responsive and I loved my unit
Cons:
There are restaurants around so we definitely had a mouse and a roach from time to time (every couple of months) I think this is to be expected in NYC. However the hallways would be very dirty sometimes and people would smoke in the stair wells which would flood into the apartment
Advice to owner:
More regular hallways cleaning and to improve the lighting

Only pro is proximity to the train
Former Tenant
Pros:
Close to the A train, and a quick walk to AC1 at 168.

Large apartment, rent stabilized.

There are several nice older people in the building.
Cons:
There is a group of guys selling drugs out front all day everyday. They set up chairs and tables, triple park, blast music, and are never not there. In the winter, they move into the lobby and smoke.

Packages are always stolen, or never delivered (FedEx won’t leave anything for this reason).

No pest control, and if there is, I’ve never had them knock, and they never post signs about when they’re coming.

Lights in the no access alley, but not on the front of the building. Elevator breaks a lot.

Building water tastes terrible, be prepared to bring in drinking water if you’re moving in.
Advice to owner:
Put up a sign about when pest control is coming so tenants can be home.

Enforce the no loitering signs.

Management can fix Unnecessary issues but
Former Tenant
Pros:
Spacious Lobby, Nice hardworking cleaners.
Cons:
Multiple people get stuck in the elevator often. The Basement has a new breed of Giant Rodents!
Advice to owner:
Do a better job and be more responsive to the people that have lived there for years even if they are hispanic, they are still keeping up with the increasing rents every year without assistance but are not being listened too and being pushed out!
