Solid building, no cosmetics

Pros:
The building is good because it is old and well built. It is convenient to have an elevator. I like its big windows and the fact that the rent is cheaper than other buildings in the area. The building has a laundry in the basement, what is also good.
Cons:
The landlord is completely anonymous! There is no way to contact them, only through the super. No repairs are ever made.
Advice to owner:
To take better care of the units, repair the wood flooring and have a plan to install ac units

Lovely Quiet Walk Up

Pros:
It’s a small building only 8 units and it’s relatively quiet. Occasionally on weekend evenings you hear music from a neighbor across the courtyard. Building and hallway is very well lit and kept pretty clean. The Super is very responsive and addresses issues immediately. Apartments are very spacious and it was super clean when I moved in.
Cons:
It’s an old building and so you get the occasional huge roach, despite the fact we have monthly pest control.
