Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant reviews for the buildings managed by Philip LaRosa indicate a mix of satisfaction and frustration. While many residents appreciate the building's location, cleanliness, and friendly neighbors, issues with management responsiveness emerge prominently. Complaints about steep rent increases and slow communication from management are recurrent. Most tenants emphasize the helpfulness of on-site staff, yet frustration is evident regarding the owner's lack of engagement in addressing concerns. Overall, while the buildings boast great amenities and community spirit, prospective tenants should be prepared for potential challenges with management.

Reviews

Former tenant·just now

Great building, very bad management

Pros

Gorgeous building in a great neighborhood very conveniently located across the street from 1/2/3 train. Lovely lobby. Superintendent is very handy and helpful.

Cons

Building management is very bad. They raise the rent upwards of 10% every year. They take days to respond or don’t respond at all. There have been multiple package thieves and management does nothing other than say “you should have sent it to a packages pickup store”

Advice to the owners

Respond to tenants when they reach out. Stop raising the rent 10-30% each year.
