Pros
The building is really close to the 96th St Q stop, so commutes were great. It's close to the East River and the access way to the Greenway at 96th street. Overall neighborhood is great. The building itself is old but reasonably maintained.
Cons
For almost the first half of the lease, things were fine pest-wise. Then there was a rapid increase in roach sightings in our unit, and it appears that many of the units are affected, judging from all the sign-ups for the monthly pest control. Multiple packages were stolen, so security can be improved. The intercom system is also outdated. The super was usually responsive for major issues, but smaller things didn't seem to get priority.
Advice to the owners
Prioritize pest control and improving quality of life features with better intercom and security.
Pretty decent NYC apartment
Pros
Heat and water included, looks nicer than other NYC apartments I’ve seen, nice neighbors, no bugs outside of one incident (only one cockroach sighting in my 2 years living there and no further issues), free exterminator every month. Super is very nicr
Cons
You can hear neighbors if they are being loud, across from a school so you get afternoon noise if you are close to the street. Packages have been stolen
Advice to the owners
Please sweep stairs more often
