Cockroaches and negligence

Pros

Large space for nyc

Cons

The landlord uses his friends to fix things. They are 80+ years old and very unprofessional in every way. They “fix” most things with tape. The apartment looks way more rundown than in the listings and has many non moving parts including a cockroach infestation. Landlord is cheap and only cares about money. He is going blind and can’t see what you show him is wrong with apartment. I was given the apartment completely dirty and he could not see the dirt and grime everywhere.

Advice to the owners

Hire professionals to work on the apartment. You are renting a trap house for 2500.
