Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant reviews of buildings managed by Ved Parkash consistently highlight significant management challenges. Common issues include poor cleanliness, rampant pest infestations, unreliable heating, and slow or dismissive landlord responsiveness. Garbage management is often inadequate, and building maintenance suffers from recurring problems such as broken elevators and plumbing defects. While some properties feature spacious apartments and decent neighborhood access, tenants frequently report noisy or disrespectful neighbors and safety concerns due to lack of security measures. Few tenants approve of the management, and many advise urgent improvements in upkeep, pest control, and more responsive communication to raise living standards.

Only Interested in Rent: Not help for tenants

Pros

The superintendent and cleaning staff are awesome. Aside of the tenants being pigs, they keep the place clean and presentable as best as they can considering two minutes after cleaning someone believes they are entitled to make a mess. Garbage goes on frequently

Cons

Neighbors are loud, dirty, disrespectful and inconsiderate. You do not get peace and quiet, you barely get any sleep. There is no hot water; pipes either run dry or have a small cold trickle. Parkash is merely interested in the rent(do yourself a favor and google this individual before doing any type of business with him. Either non-responsive or dismissive, he lies and gives you the run around. HPD has issued violations and summonses which have gone ignored and his only resolution is that I find another apartment and move out because I am costing too much money each time I call 311 for help. Advice to the owners

You want good tenants, who pay the rent and have respect? You need to provide the quality of life services detailed in YOUR lease. When someone lives in your property, you are responsible for the repairs and making sure everything works...particularly when you have a responsible, respectful and respectable tenant who always pays rent in full and on time, It is unprofessional to not respond; People gain respect by being responsible, responsive and respectful. Perhaps this is why so many tenants are not paying their rent? No one wants to pay rent to be inconvenienced nor to be ignored by the person who receives more money out of our salaries than we do. People basically pay 2/3 of their salaries in rent. In addition, if you want good rent paying tenants you have to treat them well and be responsible and responsive. It is not a difficult task to be a decent human being
