Owner and super (married couple, always together) are NOT responsive when you actually need them; on multiple occasions claiming they are in a no cell zone when we do need them for entire days. They know I work from home, yet multiple times have not informed me when water would be out which is inconvenient when I want to get water, wash my hands, while water is out for construction or whatever. Apartment was poorly maintained, never heated when cold. When we had intense snow, our roof was leaking and then our entire kitchen cabinet broke off unprompted, fell on me, and broke all of our dishes inside. They ignored my and my roomates calls and texts for over 24 hours and then stopped by our apartment unprompted the next day without returning any of our calls. Landlord tried to blame us but then said it was the snows fault. In addition, landlord and owner are TOO hands on where it does not help. When I first moved in, landlord entered my apartment without my knowledge or permission when I told her to call for some bs inspection. Huge invasion of privacy. They always come up with random "inspections" or code compliances which they cited was on my lease, which I inspected, it was not. They consistently ring our apartment door and try to do things without warning which we have asked for nicely multiple times, to the point I had to leave a note on my door with my number because the super claimed to "have my number somewhere..." which is why he didnt call me, despite me having numerous phone records with them. Landlords love to come in and inspect, and consistently harp on the phone for pointless things. I grew up in a rego park apartment for 22 years and have seen my super less in that entire time there than I have seen my landlord and super at this apartment, which says a lot. Honestly there are more things that I have not listed which either would lengthen this too much or I am just not remembering for the time being.Worst place I've ever lived, moving out not even within a year of living here.
Advice to the owners
Hire an actual super that is not your husband, and stop treating your tenants like idiots.

Pros
Good responsiveness from the landlords. Fairly decent rental price not raised in 2 years.
Cons
Landlords felt they could fix everything on their own - they couldn’t. They were cheap and wouldn’t replace appliances. They also needed to be reminded about pest control.
Advice to the owners
Hire someone else to do the fix-its.
