Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant feedback on buildings managed by Albert Srour reveals a mixed experience. Some buildings, like 515 Ovington Avenue, are praised for cleanliness, friendly neighbors, and prompt owner responsiveness. However, significant issues plague others, particularly 558 Parkside Avenue and 1596 Dahill Road, where residents report chronic pest infestations (bed bugs, roaches, mice), unreliable heating, poor garbage management, noise disturbances, and general neglect. Management responsiveness is often described as slow or indifferent, with tenants feeling neglected and frustrated about unresolved maintenance problems. Safety concerns such as package theft and unruly neighbors also appear. Overall, expect variability in management quality, with some buildings well-maintained and others suffering from neglect and tenant dissatisfaction.

Staying alive for over 100 years

Pros

The location is convenient and central, with easy access to public transportation such as Q, 2, and 5 train lines and bus stops. It is a clean and mostly quiet building.

Cons

The parking situation can be difficult, with limited spaces available The building is old and the floors are inclined. There can be noise from neighbors or especially from the street.

Advice to the owners

Remove carpets from the floors.

Horrible don’t bother moving in here

Pros

There’s nothing nice to write the building is falling apart and they won’t do anything. They will try to fix up the apartment to new tenants and after that, they won’t care about you. They will file an eviction once you miss a month. Horrible people don’t even move in with them.

Cons

Everything is wrong with this building and management

Advice to the owners

Do better and start caring about the tenants cause we choice your building to call it a home. Instead you just treat us like nothing! YOU HAVE A HORRIBLE SOUL
