Overpriced, crumbling building

Pros

Quiet, back facing apartment. Didn’t hear much except for front door of building and people going up and down the stairs. Most neighbors are okay.

Cons

Walls are literally crumbling, everything is covered in chipping and piled on the paint, appliances are old and broken, if you need something replaced maintenance will ghost you for weeks at a time until they finally show up randomly without warning and leave the new appliance for you to install yourself. Office is unhelpful, packages constantly stolen, management does not care and the cameras you see are fake and do not work. Front door to the building doesn’t lock most of the time, and there are always flies around the hallway and entrance. The apartments are tiny, with old and outdated or lack of appliances, and it’s a complete rip off. No natural light, sometimes weird smells and neighbors smoke on fire escape so the smell will come into your apartment. Stairs are narrow, steep, and a death trap.

Advice to the owners

Lower the rent, respond to your tenants, actually update the apartments, and stop ripping people off
