Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenants of buildings managed by Jason Moore generally praise the cleanliness, quiet neighborhoods, and responsive management across various locations. Buildings are noted for well-maintained common areas, good pest control, and solid water pressure. However, some renters point out challenges with heat regulation systems, occasional communication difficulties, and annual rent increases without proportional service improvements. While management tends to address maintenance issues timely, some suggest infrastructure updates and better heating controls. Overall, renters value the calm, clean living environments and often recommend these buildings despite minor drawbacks. They appreciate the professional responsiveness but advise more transparency and consistency in services.

Reviews

Former tenant·4 hours ago

6 Years at 450 7th Ave

Pros

The layout of the apt is exceptional and allows for 3 people to co-habitate

Cons

Management is often difficult to communicate with and really does only the bare minimum possible effort. They justified a rent increase by saying they had upgrades planned for the "common area" and then just put a poster up with a bunch of weird legal notices. It's a good place to live but I would be prepared to have rent raised $200+ every year for shitty mgmt services.

Former tenant·6 months ago

great location, fine apartment

Pros

Located on 7th ave which is good mix of residential and commercial, but on the quieter side of the street. Great restaurants, laundry, grocery, bar options in Park Slope.

Cons

Thermostat for heat control is located in 1st floor tenant space and controls the whole building. Apartment does not have dishwasher or laundry in building or unit.

Advice to the owners

please put a lock box on thermostat so that upstairs tenants do freeze on whim of 1st floor lowering heat.
