Unresponsive Management but overall good apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building is clean, free of pests, and the super works hard to make sure the hallways are clean. It's also relatively inexpensive, and though the apartments don't have frills they are completely safe.
Cons:
The management company is horribly unresponsive. You have to threaten to call 311 before they will respond to an inquiry, even minor ones.
Advice to owner:
Hire more people to respond to tenants!

833 Monroe Going strong
Former Tenant
Pros:
Super is the best. It’s amazingly clean and my neighbors are the best. Rent stabilize is a major plus
Cons:
Elevator kind of breaks often. Driers tend to fall short in heat.
Advice to owner:
Fix the driers! Def wasting money on them.

Amazing Brooklyn Building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Love that it has a gym, rooftop, bike room, very spacious
Cons:
Sometimes the gym can get crowded, not enough machines, or equipment breaks or goes missing.

Would live there again ~
Former Tenant
Pros:
Amenities are incredible, doorman system and mail were taken care of. Its right next to the train line, plenty of grocery options and food nearby.
Cons:
Being on the ground level, occasionally noise from the street due to loud people but only on weekends.
Advice to owner:
No advice, upkeep was great.

nice but noisy
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good amenities, responsive super, great rooftop.
Cons:
This apartment complex is too loud. parts of the building are adjacent to a church with an extremely loud after school and summer program. You can hear children playing instruments and listening to music constantly. Neighbors are also quite noisy.

Run down building with a fresh coat of paint
Former Tenant
Pros:
Next to public transportation, has a courtyard for trash, supers are very nice
Cons:
Advertised as renovated but all they did was put in some kitchen cabinets. The appliances leak, the kitchen drain backs up and floods the counter, hot water randomly disappears, bathroom tiles are coming off the floor, central air doesn't work, they charge a convenience fee to pay rent by direct deposit, laundry room is expensive.
Advice to owner:
Stop trying to fix buildings and renovate after you move people in.

Nice building but walls are paper thin
Former Tenant
Pros:
Rooftop, free gym, game room, good space
Cons:
Walls are made of cardboard. I could hear full conversations from my bedroom. Even worse if music.

Decent Living Space
Former Tenant
Pros:
Had a solid gym and great amenities. The two-building setup is a little weird, they advertise having a doorman but that's only for 1024 Gates. Apartments were TINY for the price, but hey that's NYC. Area around isn't great but it is right next to the stop.
Cons:
Management was useless and constantly replacing people. The day we moved in, the prior tenant's stuff was still inside, resulting in us having to pay an extra half day for the movers to wait until the staff cleaned it out and painted. Very disorganized.
Advice to owner:
Take care of the building because it won't last long with current upkeep.

Great apartment to live in
Former Tenant
Pros:
Spacious, the area is super nice, on-site super that is responsive and helpful.
Cons:
Front door doesn’t open which is great for security, not great for packages being left outside on the sidewalk.
