Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenants report mixed experiences with Carter Sackman-managed buildings. Positive feedback highlights responsive and kind management, especially praising live-in supers like Juan and Alex, who maintain buildings well and address issues promptly. Cleanliness and well-kept apartments, along with good neighbors and convenient locations, are frequently mentioned positives. However, several reviews also raise concerns about persistent pest problems, particularly cockroaches and mice, and some frustration over slow or insufficient repairs, notably heating and window drafts in colder months. Garbage management and noise levels vary by building, and a few tenants criticize unresponsiveness and rent hikes. Overall, management can be attentive but inconsistent, with notable variations across properties.

Nice neighbors, but mice and cockroach infestations

Pros

It's a small building in a great location, and I like my neighbors. Close to lots of good food.

Cons

Lots of mice and cockroaches :( I know quite a few of my neighbors have them too. The monthly cockroach treatment isn't enough to keep them at bay. I've also caught 3 mice in traps and had to dispose them sighhh. Management isn't that responsive, depending on what the issue is. They also raised rent by more than 8% this year.
