Pros

The super is extremely responsive and super friendly. Whenever we had an issue he would respond immediately and help us out. A really really great guy. The building is routinely cleaned and is in good shape. An exterminator comes regularly and has asked us if we have any pests he can help with. We’ve never had any bug or rat problems. Considering how noisy the surrounding area is the apartment is remarkably quiet. The apartment originally came with a mini fridge and we asked if we could upgrade and replace it with a dishwasher and the landlord complied free of charge which was super nice.

Cons

One big thing is our oven doesn’t work well. You can turn the broiler on but you can’t really modulate the temperature so baking is basically impossible. The only other issue is that the landlord doesn’t cash the checks sent to him until a couple weeks into the month which is a bit annoying. The garbage outside is pretty messy too - not super organized. I’m not even sure if the building recycles tbh.

Pros

We liked our apartment, it was very spacious although loud given the first floor but that is somewhat to be expected. We were happy to find that we did not have a mice problem even though we were on the first floor. The management and super were always kind and responsive.

Cons

The first floor apartment can be loud since you are on Bushwick Avenue.
