Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant feedback on buildings managed by Donald Mnaocherian highlights responsive and helpful management, with tenants appreciating quick owner responses and a good overall layout. The buildings have decent-sized apartments, elevators, and laundry facilities, contributing to a comfortable living experience. However, there are recurring concerns about noise due to busy, traffic-heavy locations and cleanliness issues, especially in garbage and laundry areas. Pest problems, particularly with mice, have been noted despite prompt pest control efforts. Garbage disposal practices occasionally lead to fines. While some renters find the environment less neighborhood-like and transit access somewhat inconvenient, management’s responsiveness remains a strong point throughout.

Good building to live in if you can tolerate traffic noise

Pros

Good sized apartment, gut renovated with good construction, thick walls. Elevator and laundry building, with nice clean and bright hallways. Never seen a problem with package theft. Great rent for the area. Responsive management.

Cons

The area is dirty, noisy and busy, it doesn’t feel like a neighborhood. The building is right in front of the Queens Midtown Tunnel so you will never not see or hear cars. Building repeatedly gets ticketed for disposing of large trash items incorrectly. The super doesn’t live on site so some residents had to take it upon themselves to shovel snow or do smaller building tasks. Elevator is very very small. It’s a 12 min walk to any subway so would not recommend to live here if you have to use the subway to get to work.

Good location, ok apartment to live

Pros

Building is good but older, great location and has laundry in the building. Super is responsive and helpful.

Cons

Sometimes it takes a while to get things fixed. The noise levels get loud outside, the laundry in basement is next to trash and can get a bit full on the weekends
