landlords are unresponsive, this building is rent stabilized and they operate as if it's not. discriminatory to tenants. prioritize quick turnover between tenants to increase rent over fixing issues- was told this was an "move in and out" kind of building upon signing lease and seeing our bathroom ceiling peeled off due to water damage... management is inconsistent with repairs and rarely do they actually fix the issues but slap some paint on instead.

lived here 5 years. the worst landlord i've ever had. ac breaks in the summer, it's 100 degrees in the apartment and they don't fix it for a week. the system is so broken and old. it leaks into the ceilings which causes the ceilings to collapse every couple years. mice mold roaches you name it. the garbage management is non existent. the whole building was also illegally destabilized and the landlord will lie to and intimidate anyone who tries to be treated according to their rights. he left our neighbors without heat with a gas leak in the middle of january. they were sleeping with the windows open with an infant and had no choice but to accept being forced out. this guy is evil. this building has a crazy number of violations but hpd sucks at their jobs so they don't get properly recorded.
Advice to the owners
unfortunately none. we tried evrything and they are unremittingly cruel and selfish.
