Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant feedback on buildings managed by Joe Soleimani reveals a mixed experience. While some appreciate the spacious apartments and convenient locations near transit and amenities, persistent issues with cleanliness and pest control, notably rodent infestations, are commonly reported. Garbage management and building maintenance show inconsistency, with residents often needing to be persistent to get repairs addressed. Owner responsiveness varies, with some finding management slow or unresponsive, leading to frustration. Noise levels and neighbor relations differ by building, but safety concerns have emerged due to building access problems. Overall, renters should expect to advocate strongly for upkeep and communication improvements.

Management are frauds

Pros

The building has a great location and my apartment is quite spacious

Cons

I could go on for days about this roach and mice infested dilapidated building. Over the last 4 years, my rent has increased dramatically, while the condition of the building has worsened. Because of open igloo, I decided check my rental history and found my apartment was illegally deregulated. Instead of signing a new lease, I tried to Negotiate and they pulled my lease instead, locked Me out of the payment portal and are trying to take me to court by lying and saying I refused to sign but really I was working with a lawyer for two months to open a DHCR case and getting all the advice I could before signing. Now they aren’t letting me Sign a lease unless I stop the DHCR case which is illegal.

I’m A Survior

Pros

In unit washer and dryer, dishwasher, spacious rooms, proximity to the subway & food & shopping. You have to fight for things to be taken care of properly but if you make enough noise about it property will respond and address the issues

Cons

Garbage is inside the building and was poorly managed until very recently, mice, leaking ceilings, neighbor who screams at night and at ungodly hours of the day, frequent package theft, and a carbon monoxide leak
