Bad management, cheap finishes

Pros:
Safe, quiet neighborhood. Responsive super for the most part. Elevator, gym and laundry.
Cons:
Extremely cheap finishes. Paint chipping and mold/water damage in closets. Intercom system doesn’t work in some units. Cracks in ceiling. Low water pressure. Management doesn’t respond quickly to issues.
Advice to owner:
Stop raising rent when there are so many issues to the apartments

Pros:
The super is very responsive and fixed anything immediately, the rooftop is gorgeous all year long
Cons:
New owners took over while I lived there and tried to illegally raise my rent, which is typical in any NYC building but still annoying

Pros:
I have a roof over my head until the end of the lease in June.
Cons:
The building is dirty and dusty. There's water damage in the walls in the hallway, with water stains running down the stairwell. The super never cleans.
Advice to owner:
Please stop false advertisement. The apartment should have been cleaned with a smoke detector installed. No pets me No Pets!! When a neighbor cooks the aroma comes into my apartment at 9pm at night.

incredibly decent place

Pros:
gym in building, rooftop patio, and friendly super are great.
Cons:
1. very hot in summer
2. management slow to fix mold issue in unit and didn’t even really fix it
3. apts are renovated but can tell work is very cheap in that NYC landlord type of way
4. management misplaced my first few rent payments which was hell to sort out
