Great space for the price
Pros
The apartment was clean and in very good condition when we moved in, as were all appliances. Trash removal and street cleaning are prompt and efficient. The unit includes a dishwasher, central air, and a reasonable amount of storage space, all for a very good price
Cons
The hallway/stairwell are not cleaned very often, so there is some buildup of dust/dirt/cobwebs over time. In addition, there is only one washer and one dryer for a building with eight units, and the washer tends to eat your quarters. The landlord, Zal, will respond to your requests if you bother him enough, but he can be difficult to track down.
Decent Apartment, Decent-ish maintenance
Pros
Quiet Neighborhood. Appliances are up to date and without any issues. The noise levels are fairly low if a rager isn’t happening next door
Cons
The maintenance of the building could use some work. The floors in the hallway and staircases accumulate dust bunnies and the occasional cobweb. My unit wasn’t cleaned upon moving in, though my lease clearly said that it would be.
Advice to the owners
Please put more effort in the upkeep of the building as a whole. Paint jobs and routine sweeps could do wonders
