Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant reviews of buildings managed by Paul Brensilber reveal significant concerns, particularly regarding management responsiveness and heating issues. While residents appreciate the location and neighborly environment, many report inadequate heating, leading to discomfort in winter months. Complaints also include slow management response to maintenance requests and issues with building amenities like the elevator and laundry facilities. Cleanliness and pest control receive mixed reviews, while some residents praise the super's efforts. Overall, prospective tenants should be cautious about high rents, management challenges, and inconsistent building upkeep.

Location is prime

Pros

Walking distance from everything you need. The super takes good care of the building/trash management. Respectful neighbors. Zoned to a great school. Good pest control.

Cons

Small/ slowest elevator. Only way to get to the basement/laundry is by elevator. Only 4 washer and dryers for the entire building- one washer is often out of order. Management is not quick to respond. My unit does not get adequate heating in the winter/ no dishwasher. No in-unit washer/dryer allowed. Street parking is a nightmare.

Advice to the owners

Rent is too high to be living like it’s the 1950’s.

Pros

great neighborhood but that's about it.

Cons

fake cctv in the lobby, shitty and dismissive superintendent and management company. broken washers. thin floors and walls and being between these car rentals means it's noisy all the time. and this particular street is really dirty. they're really stingy with the heat and insulation is terrible.
