Reviews

Not a lot of natural light, but well-maintained co-op building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Well-maintained, amazing neighborhood
Cons:
Pigeons, lack of natural light
Great building, great staff
Former Tenant
Pros:
The super and building staff (c) openigloo are friendly and run a (c) openigloo tight ship. The building is (c) openigloo co-op and mostly owner-occupied. There's (c) openigloo a well-maintained courtyard, and the (c) openigloo lobby was recently re-done. Most (c) openigloo units have a fire door (c) openigloo that leads to the courtyard. (c) openigloo The holiday decorations are beautiful (c) openigloo and the building hosts annual (c) openigloo parties in the lobby.
Cons:
Washers are old and there (c) openigloo are only x4 for a (c) openigloo building with x60+ units.
Stay away from here
Former Tenant
Pros:
Neighbors / people in the (c) openigloo building are amazing!
Cons:
Owner Property manager Mice Roaches Lack of building maintenance
Advice to owner:
Do something
Renter/Owner does not matter.
Former Tenant
Pros:
The location is good. Easy (c) openigloo walking distance to subways, and (c) openigloo stores. If you have children (c) openigloo and want an excellent school, (c) openigloo PS/IS 187 is very close. (c) openigloo The super is friendly. At (c) openigloo least 3 museums are within (c) openigloo walking distance.
Cons:
The basement is filthy. The (c) openigloo laundry room area belongs in (c) openigloo a Third World country. The (c) openigloo storage area is dirty, and (c) openigloo dusty. Why bother to pay (c) openigloo to store your possessions in (c) openigloo such a filthy area? If (c) openigloo you are a renter, don't (c) openigloo expect your request to be (c) openigloo expedite it by the management (c) openigloo company, OneVesta. If you are (c) openigloo an owner, the board members (c) openigloo back stab each other. The (c) openigloo head of the board looks (c) openigloo down on many of the (c) openigloo other shareholders and gossips about (c) openigloo them. He also is not (c) openigloo very truthful. The management (c) openigloo company for the building, Siren (c) openigloo Management, can treat people with (c) openigloo contempt. Slow to respond to (c) openigloo major issues. They had an (c) openigloo asbestos abatement in the back (c) openigloo of the building and failed (c) openigloo to inform most people of (c) openigloo the problem. They did not (c) openigloo even seal off the area (c) openigloo properly. For the amount of (c) openigloo money they ask to purchase (c) openigloo units hear, and rent, it's (c) openigloo not worth it. Find another (c) openigloo building to rent, or buy (c) openigloo in. BTW. Neighbors, hm, the (c) openigloo word does not resonate here. (c) openigloo People are strangers to one (c) openigloo another.
Advice to owner:
Sell it to someone who is better.
Nightmare living situation
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location, ability to break the (c) openigloo least
Cons:
Psychopath on top floor floods (c) openigloo apartment and assaults neighbors
Clean, well-maintained building in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood
Former Tenant
Pros:
Excellent super. Beautiful neighborhood that (c) openigloo is also quiet and close (c) openigloo to trains. Clean and well-maintained (c) openigloo building. Love this building.
Cons:
Like any older NYC building, (c) openigloo no control of the heat. (c) openigloo I also found the pigeons (c) openigloo in the garbage area of (c) openigloo the building to be occasionally (c) openigloo loud when I want to (c) openigloo sleep in.
Advice to owner:
Keep at it. The pigeons can go though.
Great neighborhood but management + pests is :(
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great neighborhood. Relatively safe and (c) openigloo quiet building. Beautiful historic (c) openigloo building. Amazing super!
Cons:
Management is unresponsive. Co-op is (c) openigloo stringent. Mice and roaches are (c) openigloo a problem. Heat can’t be (c) openigloo controlled from within apartments and (c) openigloo is too high.
Advice to owner:
Get management who actually responds. Co-op should be kinder to tenants.
construction all day
Former Tenant
Pros:
great location and nice super
Cons:
construction starting at 8 and (c) openigloo ending at 5 every weekday (c) openigloo on jane street made WFH (c) openigloo impossible
Building’s Great Bones, but they’ve got Osteoporosis
Former Tenant
Pros:
Tall ceilings, beautiful parquet floors, (c) openigloo good closet space, decent sized (c) openigloo rooms.
Cons:
Brick facade under EXTREMELY LOUD (c) openigloo repair, for almost a year. (c) openigloo Unbearable to be inside during (c) openigloo work hours. All units POORLY (c) openigloo MAINTAINED. Doormen vary in quality, (c) openigloo concern, and professionalism. Often times (c) openigloo MIA. Kitchens, Bathrooms, building hallways (c) openigloo and lobby seriously in need (c) openigloo of maintenance.
Advice to owner:
You charge too much for living under theaw conditions. Your Absence is apparent. The Building has great bones, don’t let it go too far, or you’ll never be able to bring it back to snuff, commensurate to the rates you are asking. This is not the Hood for that kind of property management.
Love this building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Clean and quiet, with really (c) openigloo nice neighbors and doorpeople. Really (c) openigloo has a community feel, and (c) openigloo the location itself is convenient. (c) openigloo
Cons:
Nothing in particular
