Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent reviews of buildings managed by Richard Richman reveal generally strong management characterized by clean, well-maintained properties and responsive staff, especially at 311 West 127 Street. Tenants appreciate amenities like onsite gyms, outdoor spaces, and friendly doormen. Buildings tend to be rent stabilized, providing value and a sense of community with good neighbors. However, some renters note street noise issues, occasional maintenance decline, and dated apartment appliances that need updating. While most tenants approve of ownership and recommend the buildings, a few express concerns about inconsistent maintenance and amenity upkeep, suggesting room for improvement in overall building management consistency.

Reviews

Great staff and great value

Pros

Rent stabilized, W/D in unit, onsite gym and outdoor space

Cons

The appliances in the apartments are dated and really need to be replaced. There is sometimes street noise on weekends.

Advice to the owners

Replace the super old PTAC units--they are noisy!

Great building, would recommend

Pros

Rent stabilized!! Good building, responsive fixes, gym for tenants is great.

Cons

Living on lower floor on street side there is a lot of street noise day and night especially summer weekends, and weed fumes. We use white noise machines, sleep headphones.

Advice to the owners

They are doing a good job, nothing they can do about street noise
