Former tenant·Over 3 years ago

I lived here for 3 months and it was disgusting.

Pros

Good heating, great location near bus terminal and A train

Cons

The building is rundown and disgusting. Literally the only thing that works is the heat and the elevator, sometimes.

Advice to the owners

The tenant in 4D is subletting an absolutely disgusting apartment. The kitchen is infested with roaches, there is garbage and dirty dishes and old food everywhere. Also the entire apartment looks like something out of an episode of “Hoarders”. I say this because, thanks to him, the neighbors above, below, and next door could potentially have a bug and roach problem that could spread to the rest of the building, either now or in the very near future, especially since it’s getting warmer. The exterminators will be able to help very little in this kind of situation. Also, there are people smoking weed and cigarettes in the hallways somewhere on the first 3 floors and the smell wafts up throughout the building. The elevator is rundown and not clean, and needs to be checked regularly since it’s very old. Also, outlets in the apartment shorted out multiple chargers and things, so I suggest having an electrician take a look.
