Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant feedback for buildings managed by Ben Gluck reveals a mixed experience. Positive aspects include good location, reasonable rents, clean and well-maintained buildings, prompt pest control, and responsive management in some units. Notable pros are high ceilings, new appliances, and quiet neighbors in several properties. However, common complaints are unresponsive or slow management, delayed maintenance, unresolved pest infestations (rats, cockroaches), heating/AC issues, and occasional poor cleanliness in common areas. Some tenants report structural problems, noise issues, and difficulty retrieving security deposits. Overall, management seems inconsistent—tenants should expect decent amenities but may face challenges with communication and timely repairs.

Overall fine, good price

Pros

- Great high ceilings - Reasonable Rent - Kitchen Appliances Work Well - Good location

Cons

- The AC breaks fairly consistently if the temperature rises above 85 degrees - The Laundry machines in the basement are kinda pricey and also break down from time to time and people love to just leave their laundry in there - Staircase always smells - The ceilings are high enough that you need a ladder to change a light bulb - We had a mouse but it was dealt with quickly

Good if you need a roof over your head

Pros

Location's good, central air and heat are nice when they work.

Cons

Cheap, quick fixes, unresponsive management, takes several requests and calls for anything to get done, management doesn't communicate to contractors they send, and will gaslight you about maintenance issues. Smelly hallway, constant issues with laundry and AC that never actually get fixed. Also took about 6 months to get my security deposit back.
