Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant reviews of buildings managed by PROGRESSIVE MANAGEMENT OF NY reveal significant management challenges. Many buildings suffer from poor cleanliness, ineffective pest control, and inadequate heating, with numerous reports of roaches, rats, and mold. Garbage management and noise disturbances are recurring complaints. Tenants often describe slow or unresponsive management, with some citing rude or unprofessional behavior. Security and maintenance issues, such as broken intercoms, elevators, and neglected repairs, are prevalent. However, a few properties show signs of improvement and responsive staff. Overall, renters should expect inconsistent management quality, frequent maintenance delays, and persistent pest and cleanliness problems across these buildings.

Poor QualityManagement

Pros

Affordable Low-income housing

Cons

12 years no offer to paint, roach infested, lazy/inexperienced maintenance workers, dummy cameras, steal your packages, 117units, 6 machines/dryers to share sometimes not working, keeps playground locked, Poor Heat, Broken Buzzers/Intercom, Do not clean the floors or Stairwells just collect the garbage. Management is irresponsible and then threatening if you make a complaint. There is definitely drugs and alcohol involved and they smoke cigarettes and marijuana in the stairwell. slow drainage, low toilet, small rooms, Unleveled floor just like living in the project. I would not recommend.

Advice to the owners

Hire professionals, fix the problems, and create a better living environment and maintaining it for the children, disabled, and elderly. Maintenance should not be able to hangout in an vacant apartment when there is floors to be clean.

This is a lottery building

Pros

The building is clean, well-maintained, and management/super is responsive.

Cons

This is a lottery building, so some tenants are not vetted correctly and won't keep the place clean and free of pests. There is also no security in the lobby, and everyone can get into the building, which allows for mail/package theft.

Advice to the owners
